ABOUT MARRICKVILLE FC
We are the fourth biggest association football club in NSW, we are proud of our heritage and our main aim is to provide an all inclusive football environment that the local community can respect and enjoy.
Marrickville Football Club was founded in 1945 by Bruce Livingston and Arthur Ireland. In 1946 the Club was formed along official lines joining the Canterbury District Soccer Football Association in which it still competes today.
The number of teams at Marrickville Football Club has steadily grown over the years, with teams that range from the Under 6s through to the Over 35s. There are mixed teams in the juniors and separate womens’ and girls’ teams as well. The home ground has always been in the Marrickville District; in fact it was at Steele Park at first, and it was not until 1958 that the Club finally settled on Mackey Park which it calls home today.
In 2014/15 season the club had grown to 1800+ registered players and is a leader in the community actively promoting healthy lifestyle through football. The club remains a volunteer non-for-profit organisation that prides itself on a club culture that welcomes all and supports individuals and families in their passion for the world game.
