In Canterbury District, 2009 sees the launch of girls’ development squads preparatory to the launch of our new ‘rep’ side in 2010.

    Dear player,

thank you for attending our recent trials for the Canterbury Association Girls
Development Squads, held at Lees Park.

The response from our clubs promoting this program has been fantastic and
evident from the strong numbers of girls attending the two trial dates.

All girls that attended are now invited to register for these development
    squads.

An exciting part of the program will be the involvment of two W-League (Womens
A-League) players who will run the training sessions. I am happy to welcome
aboard Servet Uzunlar and Alesha Clifford who played for Sydney FC during the
inaugural W-League season in 2008. They have also represented Australia and
will be perfect role models for our young players participating in these
development sessions. Below you will find some background information on
Servet and Alesha. I also suggest you google them to find pics and other
    interesting info.

The development sessions will be run on the following dates :

    u11’s : Fridays 6pm - 7pm,

    Cost : $95/player.
Players will be given one training ball and training shirt to keep.

Registrations : all forms and payment must be completed on 5/6 during the first
training session. Cheques to be made out to Canterbury District Soccer Football
    Association.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reply to this email.
