The End
Another year draws to a close this weekend. Thanks everyone for a great year.
Schedule
28 August
Player of the week 26 June
Jack: U7 Lime
Jack is awesome!!! Jack grabbed our attention today with his enthusiasm and concentration in U7 Lime Green’s tough clash with Fraser Park. Jack fearlessly took on the opposition in both defense and attack. He was also a great team player looking to pass to and support his team mates, Aidan, Barney and Axel. While Jack was a bit coy and didnt want to give away too much when interviewed after the match, he did say that he enjoyed all aspects of football, passing, running and scoring goals. Jack’s face definitely lit up when asked about his coach, Andy Passell. Apparently Jack has been very disappointed to miss Andy’s fun filled training sessions during the recent rain. Well done Jack! We hope you enjoy the rest of the season.

Player of the week 8 May
Tom: U6 Navy
Tom’s first year playing with MFC is shaping up to be a great one. Part of the “Darlington” crew, coached by Shan, Tom is following in the footsteps of his older brother, Henry. Tom says that he plays at every opportunity; at school during recess and lunch with his friends, at home, and of course, at Tempe on Saturday mornings. Have fun playing the world game, Tom!
Player of the week 1 May
Abdi: U7 Gold
Abdi is “the transfer of the season” for John, John and Mark’s U7 Gold team. Arriving from Ethiopia 4 weeks ago, Abdi has become an integral part of the starting line up for the team. Learning more and more English words by the day Abdi simply needs to be pointed in the right direction and he is off, supporting his teammates in the most determined of ways. Spending most of his childhood with a ball at his feet has definitely paid off. We are all looking forward to Abdi showing us how football should be played.
Informal session for coaches and managers
More than 20 coaches and managers turned out for the entertaining and exciting “informal session for coaches and managers” Saturday which is testiment to the outstanding dedication of our volunteers this year.
